Pestival HQ Arrives at London Zoo
After much anticipation, the new Pestival HQ has arrived at London Zoo… in the form of a shepherd’s hut! Pestival will be artists-in-residence for the next 3 years at London Zoo, helping to develop a sustainable arts programme. The hut will live alongside the iconic Snowdon Aviary. Pestival Director Bridget Nicholls has also been awarded the first Zoo Arts Fellowship, and will be developing the Zoo arts programme, where artists will be encouraged to work alongside endangered species breeding programmes around the world and make art that responds to that relationship.
This week, artist Bob and Roberta Smith will be at the Zoo painting the shepherd’s hut, in his unique sign painting style. We’ll keep you posted on progress…
